Machining/Manufacturing
Basic machining of components is one of the first steps in any manufacturing process. Precision components are brought together to create assemblies of ever increasing complexity and close tolerances. Precision machining tools, jigs and fixtures need to be properly handled and stored to prevent damage.
Unlike hand tools, a tool used in numerically controlled machines are often composed of several parts. Putting the parts together accurately into an assembly is required to achieve error-free production. So, easy and accurate storage and retrieval of tooling parts, transport of tools and a work space where they can be assembled, evaluated or maintained are all essential. Each machining center or like group of machines should have adequate space nearby for tool storage and preparation.
